Had a zero net connection status, zap! Been preparing for bon voyage 5 week India trip starting next Friday, photo’s & counters, forms & visage!

Editing two movies current:

working title WE SHOULD CAT is wholesome holiday adventure & 2 is footage from UEL freshers week Ronny Remote gig. Cinepak compression + datamosh techniques for pixel gnarl & ez ƒile sizes.

Last weekend UpRise festival amazing, Explode my own DOG so much fun! Lots of crazy kids, today we start editing together the movies after moving out.

This weekend I’m working on a submission for a project called Urban Screens/Do Billboards Dream of Electric Screens? I’ll post more info about the piece after the deadline. I’m exploring ‘the connection’ — the emotional, the spiritual, the collective- through utilisation of animation combined with appropriation and mutation of the display. Eventually, this work will have to crawl out of the screen and actualise itself.

I’m striving to deepen and broaden the scope of the thought processes behind my work — the philosophy inhabiting its internal and external cores. My desire to develop a positive and constructive “how & now” attitude aimed at lifting the veil of reality and revealing illusions, exposing that which conceals itself in the nature of things, lead me to explore in writing the notion of the emoticon while riding the DLR yesterday. In conclusion at present: There is a potency in the banality of the emoticon… Emotiƒ En-Masse… The ‘emotidols’, and the ‘emotikonoklasts’.

Hey GUYS! !

Is the universe a unicorn is a unicorn short for UNIVERSAL CONTROL OVER REALITY NETWORK?! Who knows. I’ve been talking to weird talk engines online to see if they are any good at generating 50% of a dialogue and um, they aren’t very constructive yet. But the universe might be a unicorn. Or something.

There is an amazing shop on Camberwell Hi Street called “ETC. and they sell things like THIS.

I finally checked out the WATCH ME MOVE Animation Show at the Barbican the other day. There was an interesting link presented between Pop Eye and the Hulk, and then the Hulk and the Golem… ha POP EYES HULKING SPINACH GOLEM FRIENDS ! ! There was also quite a lot of Ralph Bakshi, but no Tex Avery, but there was some Chuck! Presented alongside Norman McLaren and Martin Arnold, ha ha. There was even some Ryan Trecartin! Sorry David Oreilly. I wonder if some stuff wasn’t on display due to copyright infringements?

Anyways, gotta dash, I have an up and coming animation workshop SLASH live audio-visual event coming up soon, at UEL ƒreshers Week, more info on that later. Later!
