Recently I’ve been putting together posters for various different nights around the country!
Here is a rough work in progress for ‘ELECTROBIX’, a London based indie/electro night that sounds like cereal:
As you can see, it’s nowhere near finished. I’ve uploaded the image to show a little bit of my working process. From here I’ve moved on to paper to elaborate on how the cereal box idea can be worked out and from there it’s back into flash again. More of this soon
Next is a finished piece for a night that’s coming up in Coventry called FLUD:

I’ve spent the day touching it up whilst working on an all new dvd menu & cover to send off to potential clients (I did all of this earlier this year for a project at Ravensbourne but there’s nothing wrong with revamping and level upping your work for future employers huh).
the 2 minute movie contains samples from ‘the Fox’ click for link (or here for art & here for stills, the movie also contains samples from the unfinished short ‘Rocket’, another cartoon from the ‘Fox Rocket 20′ series), ‘Coffee part 1′ link (& also the unreleased ‘Coffee part 2′), a finished scene from an unfinished cartoon about all powerful innocence & mischief AS WELL AS numerous scenes from the now classic yet still incomplete ‘Captain Zapting’ short which was originally created for a storyboarding project many years ago, link. I just posted the above image on to the thinkcreative forums for this weeks ‘current creative stimulus task’, the buzzword being ‘embrace’. I spoke briefly about thinkcreative last week in this post. So far they’ve been a little quiet but it’s only been live for a week or two or something so check it out! make some noise!

My gosh, these games were top. They were the same as every other first person shooter on the mac back then only I actually owned full copies of the games somehow and thought they were better than any other first person shooter on the mac back then. There were sections of these games that really scared the skin off me and I bloody love killing aliens. I did try and play them again more recently but didn’t enjoy them as much which made me wish I hadn’t tried playing them again. Still, top stuff. Hoh ohn cht.

a couple of friends of mine have stuck together a forum called thinkcreative (link)
every week they’re setting a ‘creative task’, just a post with a word encouraging users to submit any kind of creative work in reply to the subject matter. anyway i’ve signed up and i’m gonna try and submit stuff when i can, it’s a while since i’ve used any kind of forum and this seems like a fun way to return to boring boards!
this week the word was diary. i was going to submit a piece of writing with ‘tex’ in the place of any names i mentioned but decided to do some flash stuff instead:
